Beach or Bust!

This past week our family went to Orange Beach with my Mom, Dad, Hattie Frank and Michael. We had an AMAZING time!!! Seaside Beach and Racquet Club was so family-friendly (thanks, Sarah) and we were right on the beach. We decided to break up the trip, so we left Sunday and stopped in Waynesboro to spend the night with the McRaes. Everybody else met us there for lunch Monday, and then we headed down. We have never been to the beach as a family before, so it was a new experience for our girls. They actually loved it as long as the waves weren't too big. The jelly fish were really bad, but we still managed to get out in the ocean and have fun! Emmy Lou wore out quickly and took many naps, but she loved the sand and water. She and my Daddy tried to see who could take the most naps, and I have to say it was a pretty close race. The Hamiltons were there also, so the girls loved playing with them at the pool. We ate at great restaurants, caught crabs at night, played Goofy Golf, rode Go Karts, bought Hermit Crabs, and played so hard! Everybody really got to relax and enjoy themselves which is what vacation is all about. Thanks, MayMay and PaPa, for such a great time with all of you at the beach! We love you and appreciate all of your help with the girls!

Sara Glenn's Going Away Party

Sara Glenn invited her closest friends to our house last Friday night for a Going Away Slumber Party. Camp Rock was premiering on Disney Channel that night, so she wanted to have a Cake Decorating Contest and Camp Rock Party. Rachael, Alex and Christian all came over, and we missed you, Chappell and Mollie Clark! We had pizza, presents, cake, Camp Rock and more cake! They really had a great time, and I am so thankful that Sara Glenn has been blessed in Tupelo with such wonderful friends.

Going Away Party

Friday, June 13, Sarah and Brad hosted a church-wide going away party for our family. There was great food and fellowship, and we were so glad to get to see everyone. Brad and Sarah have been our friends in Tupelo from Day 1 when we lived beside each other in Hidden Valley Townhouses. We love them as brother and sister and have seen each other through many, many good and bad times. Thank you, Brad and Sarah, for hosting our party! We love you so much and will miss you terribly. Thank you also to our Lawndale family. Each of you have touched our family in different ways, and we will take wonderful memories with us to Winona.

Fun in Waynesboro

Last week we all went to south Mississippi to spend a couple of nights with NaNa and Big Mac (Chris's parents). Our first stop was in Newton for a send off for Uncle David who is Chris's youngest brother . His National Guard unit has been activated to serve one year in Washington D.C. for Homeland Security, so please keep all of these men in your prayers. It was very emotional seeing so many husbands and fathers leaving their families that day. This is actually his second time to be deployed to Washington D.C., and we will all miss him! Next that night we celebrated Big Mac's birthday with a supper at Red Lobster which was delicious. The next day we all went to Maynor Creek outside of Waynesboro for a swim and had a blast! The girls loved swimming and playing in the water and the sand. That night the girls made their hand and foot prints in plaster of paris. Emmy Lou kept grabbing the stuff, so we finally just did her feet. We went to Meridian for lunch the next day and some arcade fun and headed back to Tupelo. Thanks, NaNa and Big Mac, for such a great time!

Happy 1st Birthday, Emmy Lou!

Yesterday we had a great time celebrating Emmy Lou's first year of life. Family and friends came to our house for cake, ice cream and great fellowship. Emmy Lou got lots of great presents and actually dove into her cake at one point. It was hilarious! Emmy Lou's first year of life has blessed our family tremendously and we pray for many more with her. Hope you enjoy the slideshow!
